So I was going about building a beast faction. When I got to the classes I thought "Oh all I need to do is move from one class to the next" like how humanoids create classes
I did not realize that this is not how beast factions create units. They go from the base faction, not from other units.
Biests are not as skill oriented as Humanoids. More focused on raw stat increases.
Humanoids are the only domain that builds primarily off other classes.
Yeah, that was a shock to me. I was thinking "Oh hey, it must be the same as humanoids" In any case, it gives me time to really think how I want this faction to work.
@neonthefox12 Each Domain is practically the equivalent of an entirely new book on creating factions in their own unique way. At one point they were all going to be released independently. It became apparent though that the best option was to put them into their own Age book so that the game was focused on less books and cross building was more prevalent. You might recall that the Each Domain had a different book name during the Open Beta.
The differences creates some very interesting opportunities on how you want to create your faction and classes. Biest Classes Level 1 and 2's are much closer to each other in ability than Humanoids Level 1 and 2's. It will feel like Level 2 Biest are not as strong as Level 2 Humanoids. However, this switches out at Level 3, with level 3 Biests being quite powerful, but much more expensive in point costs.
