Right now we are still working diligently on the 2nd and 3rd Age. While we had thought we would be launching the Kickstarter for this sometime around now, we are still in waiting with delays brought about by Covid. Playtesting has become quite challenging and what would normally be months of playtesting has turned into a few sessions and a lot of discussion. Because of this we are not ready to go forward with the 2nd and 3rd Age yet. However, this will not be indefinite. We are pushing back the Kickstarter to late fall. Everything will be going much quicker over the next few months and we will have a few reveals coming very soon. So you will start hearing more and more about what is in the upcoming books and some changes you will be seeing on how the books are put together. The changes to our process are that we are separating the role of Editor and Layout/Design of the books. Dave Taylor will be still be doing his role in the Layout and Design area, and a new editor will be announced in the coming weeks. This break up of the roles will help deliver a product that will be even better and more clearly defined in the rules and layout of the books. Artwork! I can tell you now that already the artwork for the covers of the next two books is under way. We will be doing a reveal of the new cover art as soon as we have it. You will find that we will be offering free products as we hit stretch goals this time around (like the minor expansions to the 2nd and 3rd Age, Faction Packs, and even a Campaign for each Age). Of course these will be available as add ons later one, but for free for those of you jumping in to get the books as we achieve the stretch goals. We aim to make the value for jumping in on the Kickstarter a real value for you. Im getting very excited to share with everyone exactly what the 2nd and 3rd Age will cover and the possibilities within. While most of the books are near completion we have yet to share a whole lot of what is inside. So there is a lot of fun and exciting things ahead. -Gary Krieger
I am specifically confused with how class traits are supposed to work. We saw the tutorial on "Playing the game" that had a class trait that wasn't selected as a faction trait. So can you use ANY class trait in your domain or do you have to have it as a faction trait?
