Lots of questions about this trait. I have some assumptions on how it works but I'm not going to write them to avoid biasing anyone's answers.
Does the model need to know these powers already to combine them? If so do you pay for them twice? (once for the powers and once again for the cost of abyssal weapons)
If not what are the rules for picking these powers? Does the model need to have traits from the domains of these powers, following traditional power selection rules for fey?
If you can choose to take powers you do not already know and combine them for abyssal weapons are you considered to then know those powers for the purposes of taking tier 2 powers from their spheres of influence or is the abyssal weapon power something else.
It is called abyssal weapons but does not actually call out any restrictions on what can be imbued. Could you combine two powers that imbue armor as an abyssal weapon?
Sounds like Benjamin was talking about The trait
Infernal weapons x: abyssal weapons. (Prerequisite infernal hordes trait)
Take two imbued weapons power for a combined cost but one has to come from darkness and the other can from either twilight light or darkness.
And Netfka was referencing the 1st tier Infernal power: Infernal weapons that give a +1 to the weapon unless against light where it gets an additional +1
Hey Benjamin,
Abyssal Weapons will need a minor faq/errata.
The weapon imbued will grant an an enhancement to any other enhancement the weapon is receiving. So if you have another enhancement for your weapon this will be a bonus added to the item. (it does not need to be from an imbued power, but can be)
So yes you would need another imbued power for Abyssal Weapon to be applied however you get it.
Where it says "Any model that has abilities or powers from the Path of Light greatly enhances the weapon to +2 to the weapons enhancement. "
This should say "Any model Targeted that has abilities or powers from the Path of Light greatly enhances the weapon with an additional +2 to the enhancement without adding additional properties to the weapon"
I hope that helps.
