Question

Are they considered equipment, like warbeasts and mounts? If not, are they considered part of the same squad as the technomancer?

That's a good question I didn't even think to ask when building mine.    Just assumed each technomancer get 1 golem so a squad of 3 technomancer  would have 3 golems 1 for each.

I think in this case the golem is a "buddy" to the class that bringsit and doesntcount to the "one model of class level X"

Definitely the way to go. There will have to be a rule in the future for that.

do the golems that form a squad have to be the same Lesser golem greater golems or can they be mixed? It could be mixed. There could be benefits or negatives as you still need 50% of the squad to get a bonus for the combat situation 
so lesser and greater golems together would be considered  MIXED FORCE COMBAT SITUATIONS   f they dont take up a equipment slot and included in the models squad that made it do they take up a discipline point for squad X limits? Yes.   so if you had a discipline of three you could have a squad of 2 technomancers and 1 golem.  what about games that only allow 1 model squad from that class? hows the golem going to be treated?

Yes.   are they able to claim objectives if they are their own squads ( i think this is an obvious no) but if astro projected could they? Yes  do the golems that form a squad have to be the same Lesser golem greater golems or can they be mixed? It could be mixed. There could be benefits or negatives as you still need 50% of the squad to get a bonus for the combat situation  if theres and astro projection golem with a squad boosting trait can the other golems get the benifit? If it boosts the squad then yes.
