Discord and Battlescribe?

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I got my books last week and I have been building various factions and reading rules as I have time (pandemic time is strange) but I got to wondering:

Is there a Discord server for all of use to chat on? If not would there be interest in one?

Second: Is there anywhere that has a faction builder / Army builder? Like Battlescribe? I do not have the technical know how to start this route but in building my factions I found it to be quite time consuming as I flip back and forth through multiple pages and thought a faction builder would be super useful.

Well... Oh gosh I am going to regret this... I am actually busy as we speak working on a tool to build and validate factions. I have never made a repo for Battlescribe, but I couldn't discover if The Genesys Project would be possible with a Battlescribe repo when I checked it out. Battlescribe is meant for armylists from a predefined codex. With Genesys you are making the codex! So I am going to try make my own tool in C# .NET Core. Having said this... This is going to take weeks! Juggling family life, work and an education. As for the Discord server, I think that's a great idea! I'd join if anyone started one... Hint. ;)

Yeah I was thinking it would be more along the lines as used to be a faction builder. But like I said I don't have the technical expertise to do any of that sort of thing.

We have in the past worked on the concepts of an online army builder. At the time it was not going to be able to be done simply because the books were not ready. Now though as we get the 2nd and 3rd Age wrapped up it will be something that we can take another look at. Until then though its quite the challenge.

So conceptually it would be a fantastic thing to have a functioning "Faction Builder".
