Forbidden Lore gets rid of any pre-requisites and allows you to take traits from other domains unlocking a branch (Sphere, Kingdom, Order, etc) for your faction to take traits as if you were part of that domain.
So yes, Disciplines would be opened up for your faction.
Forbidden Lore is a way to really open things up and customize what you have in mind.
There are a couple traits or abilities in the book that are not accessible through forbidden lore and they say so.
So the only thing to remember is that Increases still only stack within the same branch. Class options provide the opportunity to grant additional bonuses to your increases, and its all limited by the Maximum Age Bonus. (4 normally).
In the case of the Templar and Inquisition abilities, They're stated to stack with a single chose branch- Are you able to select from your original domain for that?
What would happen if a fey from "The Path of Light" took forbidden lore and selected a Trait from the Path of Darkness say Infernal? It would seem that the forbidden lore class would still get access to the trait but would the rest of the faction be blocked due to the "Any model with a trait from the Path of Light may not take any traits from Spheres of Influence in the Path of Darkness."? A bit further would you also be barred from taking tier 2 traits from infernal since it states "Infernals are dedicated to the Path of Darkness. You may only take 2nd Tier Infernal Traits if you follow the Path of Darkness.", or are we going by the forbidden lore's rule for taking traits?
Also just to be clear. When taking Forbidden Lore you can take a 2nd Tier Trait, etc without the prerequisites and from another domain.
The Branch that you take the trait from now becomes available for the rest of your faction to take traits from as if you were part of that domain.
Example: Your Level 3 Wizard took Forbidden Lore and took a 2nd Tier trait from the Sphere of Death in the Fey Domain.
Now this unlocks the Sphere of Death for your faction! Meaning that all the other classes and domains could now take traits in it. This includes Disciplines, and both Tiers of traits. However, because they are taking the traits as Fey.... Level 1 and 2 classes would not have access to 2nd Tier Traits.
