Traits that have no x listed for an ability x equal 1. Page 153 at the beginning of abilities section.
Most abilities that have x as 1 say so.
So this means a model with the Spectral trait ignores terrain that is 1" in height when moving? Or is it intended as 1" in width? (As in, phasing through a wall). I guess I don't completely understand how the Ignore Terrain ability works. It is a bit difficult to differentiate between the "fluffy" part of the description and the actual rules bit: "1: Models with this ability ignore terrain
movement penalties and obstacles, including any distance
moved up or down.
2: This allows the model to move quickly
through vertical distances up and down terrain pieces, or
even ignore walls and dense terrain up to X inches in height."
The second part seems to contradict the first part a bit.
Sorry if it comes across as complaining, I just want to know what the abilities do before committing to them :)
Just for reference and less typing page 13 Core Rules handles vertical movement.
Normally you are able to climb up equal to your base movement, so 3"up still count as 3" of your movement. This ability will allow you to ignore 1" of that to move even further or climb higher. Also small walls are essentially ignored.
No problem on the questions. Been fighting with my printer this morning and losing for the past hour. Keeps grabbing far too many sheets and screwing up. (printing out editing work for the Fey 2nd and 3rd Age).
good luck with that, stubborn printers are the worst!
