Is is possible to have multiple "base" species in your faction for the Humanoid domain? i.e. Can I make a faction that has both humans and goblyns available as a level 0 class, or do I have to make goblyns a class to apply ontop of the base species "human"?

Real good question. There is a method to do this. Create a humanoid faction. Do not take goblin during the faction creation process. Then when creating your classes the first trait your class takes is for goblin. Most of these species variants come with a bonus traits to further give your class some uniqueness. As you build higher level classes you can build on top of that class going forward. In this way you can also build giants or ogres to have with your faction. One suggestion for your faction traits building this way is to make certain you are selecting armory traits in the knowledge area when building the faction. This will keep the point cost down for building a species variant faction. I hope that helps.
