Looking at the the revised book,
so I have 2 traits that total 3pts I then have 4 other traits that cost 0pts so the total of my faction would be 7pts, just because my faction has 0pt traits dosnt mean they cost 0 they technically cost 1pt.
the only way around this would be to take enough points to beat your trait total or take less traits then your total points.
just need to clarify this for myself.
You total the trait's points, or the number of traits, wichever is higher, to determine you faction's base cost. This was done on purpose to prevent infinite stacking of 0 cost traits without repercussions. In your case since your faction has six traits, which together would cost 3 points. Since "trait cost" < "# of traits", you pick the higher number, so your base faction cost is 6pts.
ok thats what I thought.
