Question

Do I take this as a faction or class trait? Both are weird Either I: - Pay 2pts extra per model for the privilige of making a monster class or I: - Invest a class trait, to create and extra class

This was designed to be like a Monster Tamer Class. Ideally its taken as a Class Trait but you could if so desired be a faction trait (although that would be expensive per model). The whole point is being able to ignore progression costs to bring in monsters. As a class trait its a small point cost. This could be used to create a monster class with the Mount trait for example. It would allow you to create monstrous mounts (or just cool mounts) for your faction.

@natfka another small question on this topic that doesnt warrent it's own thread: Do you have to field the model with the Monstrous Beast ability, to be able to field the monster?

@Mark Yes it allows you to make X Monster Classes. You do still need to get Monster X for your class (like from Twilight Beast), but you get to ignore the progression costs.

@natfka a few follow-up questions: To confirm: Monstrous Beast allows you to make an extra class for your faction without spending pp. which then gets acces to the monster traits right? And I assume all your domain's limitations for class creation still apply?Finally, if you make a Monster class, do you keep your species' statline or do you take the base Monster statline under Monsters of Myth and Legend?
